I Am The Lord Thy God!!!

Thou Shall Not Have Strange Gods Before Me God is the divine power of the entire universe.  He created us and expects us to honor Him.  He forbids worshipping idols, animals, objects, persons, cults or other things.  He forbids placing wealth, power and control as more important than spending time with Him.

Thou Shall Not Use God's Name In Vain Do not abuse God's name by saying or writing it in a damned way, in an arrogant, sarcastic manner, or with any other abusive, vulgar or irreverent expression.  It’s bad stuff and using these words will make you repulsive to yourself and others.

Thou Shall Keep Holy the Sabbath Day God wants us to set aside time every week to thank Him for life and His love, and to honor Him and ask for His strength and forgiveness. He will give you grace to help you keep His Commandments.

Honor Thy Father and Mother God gave you your very existence through your Father and Mother.  Uphold their good name and your respect for them whether alive or dead.  When you keep this Commandment you build within yourself a strong foundation of strength and respect for your parents, yourself, and your friends.  Love and enjoy your parents while you can and make them happy.

Thou Shall Not Kill Only God can create life and take it away.  No one has the right to kill another human being by taking his life, his self-esteem, his will, his trust, his hope or his integrity.  Smoking, drug use and excessive drinking can kill the happiness and hopes of others.  Also, making others worry about you shortens their lives.

Thou Shall Not Commit Adultery This Commandment goes beyond sexual intercourse between a married person and a partner other than the husband or wife.  God's main purpose for sex is to allow creation of children and to create a strong bond of love between spouses.   Permissiveness and promiscuity goes against God's plan for your happiness.   Irresponsible sex destroys your self-discipline and will destroy your future happiness.

Thou Shall Not Steal You probably haven't thought stealing can be something other than taking material things that belong to others.  There are other forms of stealing such as stealing another's time, pride, ideas and dignity.  God does not want you to steal anything.   Stealing is cowardly like a sneaky rat.

Thou Shall Not Bear False Witness Against Thy Neighbor You must not lie or gossip about anyone.  Be nice or be quiet!  God despises lying about anything.  It's easier to be strong and just tell the truth in the first place.

Thou Shall Not Want Thy Neighbor's Wife No one must allow their thoughts to dwell on desiring someone else's wife.   These thoughts will weaken your self-discipline and go against the beauty of God's plan for your happiness.

Thou Shall Not Want Thy Neighbor's Goods People must earn their own profits whether it be a little or a lot.  You must believe that God gives you what He wants to... so, don't waste your time worrying about what the other guy has.  You probably know people that seem to have everything but they still are not happy.  Spend your time thanking God for what you have and you'll be happier.

Just How Cool Is Cool?

Is it having someone who loves you so much you can hardly believe it?  Is it like having friends that just want to be around you all the time?  Is it like having an inner strength that gives you confidence?  Is it being happy all the time? All of these are cool.  Your CLUB 10247™ will keep you busy developing your lifestyle and talking with the Other Member and thanking Him for this opportunity to do it the right way.

Discussion

God allows humans to choose how they live within His Commandments.  If there were no Rules at all, think of what this world would be.  As it is, it's really crazy.   I don't have to tell you what I mean.  You can just look around you! Where will it stop?  That too, has a really scary answer.  Are you happy with the way things are going?  I'm not.  Some people are living the 10 Commandments, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (thus the Club name of "10247").  The people who choose the "10247" Lifestyle are happy.  Others are living whatever way " it feels good".  Yet, others may not even know that there is a Set of Rules that God has commanded us to keep.  What is your Lifestyle?   Personally, I'd want God on my side.  He's a member of my Club 10247™ and your club as well.  In His genius and fairness, He gives us an additional tool to help us live His Law.  It's known as your "Conscience" and everyone has one.  It helps you when you need to make certain decisions within a Commandment.

• Commandment 3: Does that mean only in church or other places too?
  
• Commandment 5: What about animals ?  What about insects?
  
• Commandment 7: What about cheating?  What about not returning borrowed things?
  
• Commandment 9: What about someone's girl or boyfriend?

As you live His Law, through His Grace and your Conscience, you will do the right thing and you will keep practicing until you're a "TEN".  So now you know how to mold yourself into someone very special!
